Description

Job Summary: This position will act as the subject matter expert for application support and development of Cutter & Buck’s plm system. This position requires the individual to become knowledgeable as a user of all products group technical systems and other systems as they relate to the Products Group. The position will require the individual be able to train others on all programs. Individual will be able to recognize issues and recommend ways the programs can be utilized to their full capacity effectively meeting the challenges of the products group team and Cutter & Buck.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the use of company’s product lifecycle management tool (plmOn, srmOn), PCS, PNG, CBBOE and other related systems to the products group including training, problem resolution and report development.
  • Deliver training to internal & external users on products group systems.
  • Create new and update existing internal & external training materials and support materials for products group systems.
  • Plan, test, and execute application upgrades.
  • Responsible for internal & external user issues that have multiple dependencies (MAC & PC workstations, network, databases, servers, etc).
  • Maintain internal & external issues lists using internal tracking tools.
  • Recommend solutions for recurring problems.
  • Follow proper change management processes and communicate upcoming work to internal & external users.
  • Develop test plans and processes for software modifications and upgrades. Conduct testing, and document results.
  • Create new and update existing documentation pertaining to the departmental activities and processes.
  • Work with business analysts, developers, end-users, and fellow staff members on implementation and maintenance of business applications impacting the products group.
  • Responsible for maintaining internal & external access to plmON & srmOn including quarterly password updates.
  • Assist Business Systems Manager in fulfilling products group reporting requirements.
  • Maintain departmental intranet site taking responsibility for content and accuracy.
  • Effectively work in a team-environment where roles and responsibilities often cross inter-departmental areas. Ability to contribute in a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to manage small projects. Oversee phases and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Ability to handle high levels of stress satisfactorily and be congenial with other employees and customers at all time.  The employee must not pose a threat to the safety of others.

 

Minimum Qualifications for this position:

  • B/S/BA degree or a Technical AA degree in related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of progressive and diverse experience in the apparel industry, preferably in design/technical design or product lifecycle experience within the apparel sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with product life cycle management systems highly desired.
  • Previous technical support experience is highly desired.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to express oneself clearly and effectively in oral and written form. Ability to listen carefully.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, be detail oriented and committed to follow-through.
  • Must be self-motivated, working independently within a team environment. Must have a sense of urgency and adhere to deadlines.
  • Must have a fundamental working knowledge of design, product development, merchandising and production/sourcing functions.
  • Demonstrated proficient or advanced computer skills, preferably familiarity with MAC & PC, Photoshop, Illustrator, Outlook, Entourage and Excel.
  • Must display integrity and professionalism in both attitude and appearance.
  • Willing and able to work additional hours and travel as needed.
  • Ability or experience to quickly develop working knowledge of the specific tools and applications relevant to both the particular focus area and to a customer service support environment. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot or problem-solve technical issues, preferably in a product lifecycle management system.
  • Strong customer service skills.
